The College has a Students' Grievance Redressal Committee. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the Grievance Redressal Committee members. If the person is unwilling to appear, grievances may be sent in writing. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the officer-in-charge or Principal.
Objective
- To formulate the policy to investigate and review complaints or grievances of students and faculties.
- To create awareness of the availability of members for students to report grievances.
- To Promote cordial Student-Student relationships and Student-Teacher relationships.
- To encourage the students to express their grievances/problems freely and frankly, without fear of being victimised.
- Advising Students of the College to respect the right and dignity of one another and show utmost restraint and patience whenever any occasion of rift arises.
Scope
Academic Issues: Such as duplicate mark sheets, transfer certificates, conduct certificates, and other examination-related issues.
Financial Issues: Dues and fees for various items from the library, hostels, etc.
Other Concerns: Concerns about sanitation, food processing, and transportation.
Functions of Grievance Redressal Committee
- To provide proper advocacy to students to express their grievances freely and frankly without any fear of being victimised.
- Ensure that there is no reprisal of any kind against any applicant, witness, or any other participant in the grievance redressal process because of such participation in the grievance process.
- To analyse the merits of grievances and conduct formal hearings and investigations as the case may be.
- To protect the privacy and confidentiality of students during the investigation, consistent with and subject to the policy guidelines.
- To obtain the facts through relevant sources fairly and objectively.
- To ensure speedy disposal of every grievance application - within a maximum period.
