The Board of Studies of Stella Matutina College of Education was constituted on the 18th of July 2005 as a statutory body in order to carry out the revision of academic activities in the institution. In the first meeting, the members suggested to follow the Government rules for the admission process and to allot credits for each semester. Till date, seventeen meetings of the Board of studies have been convened in the institution.
Aims
- To prepare syllabi for the courses keeping in view the objectives of the course and National requirements
- To discuss and recommend suitable methodologies and recent topics for innovative teaching-learning process
- To co-ordinate evaluation, research, teaching, extension and other academic activities in the institution

- To review the structure of the existing Programme
- To Promote research in relevant fields
- To review the academic procedures and teaching standards
Scope
- Recommend on the increase of intake in a programme
- Provision for using modern tools of educational technology to achieve higher standards and greater creativity
- Promote healthy practices such as community service, extension activities and projects for the benefit of the students and society
Rules and Regulations
- The Board of Studies shall meet at least two times in a calendar year
- The Secretary of the college shall be the Chairman of the Board of Studies
- The minutes of the meeting shall be prepared by the member secretary, who shall submit the same to the Secretary for approval
- The Subject experts, University nominees and Alumnus shall be replaced every three years
- The date of the meeting of the Board of Studies shall be fixed by the chairman of the Academic Council
