Stella Matutina College of Education was conferred autonomous status from the academic year 2005 - 2006. With autonomy, the college moves dynamically with the freedom to change the curriculum structure in all the program levels of B.Ed, M.Ed, and M.Phil. The institution is able to start from time to time novel and cutting-edge programs; develop innovative curricula; through local knowledge of circumstances and requirements. Further, the college exercises freedom in devising appropriate teaching methods and conducting evaluation and assessment independently.
Contemporary changes are being made in curricular, co-curricular, and practicum components to fit the needs of the student teachers. Transformative changes are made in techno pedagogy for promoting Professionalism.
